The festival was born as a result of a rebellious and thoughtful approach by the band Pearl Jam, in 1993, when the band took their live concert to the Empire Polo Club, boycotting the Ticketmaster-controlled venues and finding a place where they could do it on their own. This new ready-to-use location looked promising and seemed suitable for hosting a large number of attendees in an open space. It can be said that Pearl Jam gave birth to Coachella Music Festival.
Today, this world-famous event welcomes thousands of guests from all over the world. Today, the event takes place over two weekends, three days each, with a variety of popular and emerging musicians. The Coachella 2019 line includes: Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Kacey Musgraves, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Khruangbin, Sofi Tucker, Beach Fossils, and Ariana Grande, just to name a few, from a long list of stars.
